sadly so far only solution is to zip past the courtyard like roaches when the lights turned on.
drop from the left edge and make a run for the little shacks up the stairs.
edit: 3x confirmed now, if you dont linger in the courtyard you can play the map without a crash 
when playing with randoms its a gamble of course.
but thx for the confirmation that it aint a fluke and map related, not modifier specific
