Vigil Station Oblivium + C I VI = Error 2014?

3 times in a row and according to another player for him as well (so i guess it was a team wide crash), the map crashed at the same spot where you drop down for the first time.

i dont know if its related to the amount of enemies or point of progress in the map itself but vigil station and C I VI crashed every time at the same spot today with error 2014

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. play vigil station oblivium with C I VI modifier
  2. proceed in the map until the first drop down
  3. move across the courtyard and get an error

when did these happen? I think i also had a similar problem but it wasnt scab melee and it was in the same area as the first video

2-3 hours ago, around that…
thing is it happened every time i fired up the maelstrom modifier with vigil station AND the one dude being in another match by coincidence confirmed him crashing as well at the very spot

well i thought it to be connected to C I VI but if the map itself is bogus again… wouldnt be the first time a map leaves the rotation :rofl:

I had it at least 2 weeks ago? mission got nuked and everyone got kicked i thought it was the severs but now im starting to think its the map in general. I am sure however my game wasnt scabs

checks out, browsed through my uploads of this month and haven’t had a vigil station, go figure.

so i couldn’t really say for how long that bug persists, but as the videos show its reproducible

I just had a C-I-VI on this map and got an error 2014 disconnect at roughly the same spot, a little before the dropdown. Couldn’t even reconnect afterwards.

I had a 2014 error on this same map in that same area earlier today, except it was a pox gas monster special maelstrom

edit:
when dropping off the left most corner into the yard and making a beeline for the mini-houses, we could avoid the crash today.

if by forcing the server to acknowledge a player being past that “critical point” or by not looking at a spot i dont know.

got no idea how stuff like this works

had it happen again today in an auric high intensity game. staying anything longer than one minute? in that area seems to cause a crash

One of my favorite maps and modifers and i cant even play it :frowning:

sadly so far only solution is to zip past the courtyard like roaches when the lights turned on.

drop from the left edge and make a run for the little shacks up the stairs.
edit: 3x confirmed now, if you dont linger in the courtyard you can play the map without a crash :+1:

when playing with randoms its a gamble of course.

but thx for the confirmation that it aint a fluke and map related, not modifier specific :saluting_face:

Please could you share your Steam profile URLs with us, so we can attempt to look up the server logs?

It would also be really helpful to know roughly when the last time you encountered this error was - I know this might not be easy to remember!

I don’t have Darktide on steam I have the Microsoft Store version :frowning: , but I last encountered this on the 23rd, haven’t played on the map since then but if it happens again ill try to remember to upload a console log

Just had the error happen again, which is weird since I also played on the map yesterday and the error didn’t happen… (I tested in an empty live game on a low difficulty and sat around in the area for like 5 minutes and I couldn’t get it to happen, I also played through a regular hi intensity auric game on the map and it didn’t happen either)

Maybe has something to do with additional modifiers on the mission? like Shock Troop Gauntlet.
Seems like its happening to Maelstroms too, it didn’t happen on a auric hi int mission, but it did happen on an auric hi int stg :thinking:

update: having a downed player in need for rescue near the yard triggers it as well.

so if someone’s downed and you need to skip him or it takes time to get to him, match is doomed :pensive_face:

doesn’t matter sadly, until you and the others hoof it so fast he gets transferred to the next spawn location, him simply being present for x minutes triggers it as well…. bummer
