Unsure if it's a bug or i'm just really unlucky

Making this post in case this is an actual bug.

I haven’t found a single MKII Needle Pistol as of yet. I have been playing with the Hive Scum since it launched and i was starting to think that the MKII didn’t make into the game (only saw it on a review on youtube from someone who had early access to the dlc). I never got it as a drop, never saw it on the Requisitions nor at Melk’s requisiton (i even spent a lot of tokens on the Mystery Acquistion for ranged weapons trying to find it, got lot’s of MKVI, but never a MKII)

Then i inspected a player in game and saw that they had it so now i’m wondering if there’s some kind of bug that only makes me find the MKVI version of it or if i’m so unlucky that i got gaslighted by the universe into thinking the other version doesn’t exist.

it might not drop, a lot of things don’t for some reason (or because they added it very late in the case of things like shotguns on psyker). but you can change marks of weapons that have alternate variations after you have enough mastery. I’m pretty sure its mastery 7 for the other needle gun mark, which you can select in the ‘marks’ tab when changing weapons.

It’s never going to drop. You create Mk IIs out of Mk VIs.
