Unable to launch after upgrading GPU

We kindly ask that you complete the questions below. With this information, we can investigate your issue properly.

Issue Description:

Upgraded from a GTX 1650 Super to a Radeon RX 6600 XT, and haven’t been able to launch this title since. I’ve played a number of other titles without issue, and I’ve made sure to use DDU to completely wipe all Nvidia stuff, and have also tried complete clean reinstall of the AMD drivers to no avail. Simple troubleshooting like integrity verification, reinstalling the game, and that sort of thing have been done as well.

Have you cleared the temporary files for the game stored in your user profile? It could be its still using the NVIDIA cached shaders which obviously would not work with an AMD card.

Go to this folder : %appdata%\Fatshark\Darktide

Remove the folders inside or just rename the whole Darktide folder if you wanna do a quick test. This folder contains your games config so if you delete it/rename it the game will reset to defaults.

I do not believe uninstalling the game or verifying it effects this folder

I literally JUST finished trying this with Division 2, and it’s running great for the last 20min, where before I was getting crashes left and right. It’s only the second game to give me trouble following this upgrade.

I’ll try it for DT as well, and report back. Thanks!

An attempt was made. It took some time compiling shaders, and when it got to the screen with the spinning icon at the bottom right, it spun like mad and I noticed my FPS climbed over 900 before I got dumped back to the desktop again.

I do appreciate your help, tho! I thought for sure it was going to work.

Time to reinstall your system.

This is, unfortunately, the same as: KNOWN ISSUE: Crash on Launch With `AMD Radeon RX 6700/6900 XT`

AMD are aware of the issue.

Damn.

Can I get an F in chat?

Seriously, tho…thanks for the heads up! I guess I’ll just wait for a resolution. :man_shrugging:
