Turning off the "flashbang screen effect" when on low health?

Hi,

I’ve tried to find a solution previously, but I get distracted and forget about it until I play the game again.

Does anyone know how to turn off the “flashbang screen effect” that appears when you are low on health or on your last wound?

It makes it hard to see anything while also giving me a headache from straining my eyes to make out anything in the noise.

If anyone has a solution, I would be very grateful!

Is it tied to Bloom?

Think there’s a mod for that. Remember someone mentioning it.

Maybe?

I will check it out as soon as I get home from work.

I can confirm that mod can remove the 1 wound filter.

This is the reason I started modding Darktide. If I could choose 1 Mod, it would be to remove the absurdly stupid filter you get out at when playing at 1 wound. I don’t know if it’s to reinforce to the player that they are almost dead, or supposed to be a debuff, but I don’t want to play the game in such an ugly state.

Do yourself a favor and at least browse through the QoL mods, they may save your sanity.
Many default features are a real strain to the eyes and ears, mods curtail that pain significantly. I even wrote a couple of small(ish) ones myself to fill in some gaps!

P.S. Some strains are so severe that they the enter accessibility and health domain and there is still a lot to do, like a global transparency/opacity slider for visual effects and drastic anti-strobe reductions.
