Heal stimm is the Nurgle symbol with the over it.
Thatâs fair, i dont pick auras based on my whole team dying but it would come in handy in that specific situation. I imagine its very useful right now where fire instakills your team though. If i was running a zealot then maybe i would try it until they hotfix flashfire death.
oooooooh, literally never stare at it long enough to figure it out cus im afraid teammates will steal it
Yeah, itâs only for my Assassin build, my Purifier and my Preacher both use the Corruption healing one. My Veterans all use Scavenger (or whatever itâs called now)
Why should position in the tree matter? Psykerâs crit passive is immediately next to a keystone, so it has similar accessibility to the keystone (and the 4 points spent to get that crit node can no longer be spent elsewhere)
If you take the aura node, youâre cut off from Venting Shriek. Auras are mutually exclusive picks, keystones are mutually exclusive picks, but the aura is mutually exclusive with a combat ability, so thatâs arguably worse than the restriction imposed by Blazing Piety.
10% crit from talents at all times is cool, but Blazing Pietyâs uptime is high enough that it rarely matters (especially with the proc on crit upgrade)
Scourge requires you to double down on crits, but you get generously rewarded for that.
Itâs conditional crit, but you get so much more of it as a result - up to 55% depending on how much you invest. Psyker gets guaranteed crit, awesome, but far less.
Position in the tree is the most important part imo, the non aura crit is in the easiest spot to pick up on the top row of the bottom branches. Its not immediately next to a keystone its above peril blocking, even if you are going for warp charges, its 2 points to grab it, points you are probably already spending to get to 20% more damage and peril blocking, which is a great survival node. On another note, Venting shriek is nice and all but Bubble is far more useful in almost every case. Sure going for the crit limits you out of the 2nd best(?) ability for Psyker but 17.5% crit will most likely net more damage in the long run especially if you are running a staff that hits alot of targets. I understand that Zealots can build alot of crit off conditions, but thats kind of what im getting at, its the crit class imo, so its weird that it doesnt have the crit nodes as well.
Because it already has a boatload of it? Heck, even looking at the talent tree, Zealots have 3 talents that need crits to function (excl Blazing Piety and Duellist, because they provide benefits without crits)
Scourge (which doubles as both a producer and consumer of crit, so it can become self sustaining)
Enduring Faith
Invocation of Death
Psyker has 3 (excl Disrupt Destiny and Scrierâs Gaze because they provide benefits without crits)
Mettle
Perfect Timing
Empathic Evasion
If you include things that provide partial benefit without crit, theyâre both 5.
Zealot can choose a source of guaranteed crit (FotF or Shroudfield), but so can Psykers (True Aim)
So while the amount of crit may differ, their reliance on crit is similar
Ah, my mistake. I must have gotten mixed up when looking at the talent tree
Thatâs not the point. If you want both the aura and the ability, that is not a valid talent selection.
Sorry, when i say crit nodes, i mean providing crit, not requiring crit to activate. FotF and Shroudfield are abilities though, which means they are not always available and just start the crit cycle, they donât keep the crit cycle, the argument could be that they start the bleed from the crit which stacks the crit but that mechanic doesnât work on most targets because only certain enemies will survive a solid hit from FotF with maybe a follow-up, and the crit only lasts 3 seconds. What I specifically refering to is that Zealots do not have a crit node on their tree at all, whereas both Psyker and Veteran have the 5% node. I understand that you can stack crit effects but so can Veteran and Psyker. Veterans literally get another 10% melee crit on top of that just for using a melee weapon and another 25% crit on top of that for dodging attacks.
Oh i understand your point, but since patch 15 spawns dropships of gunners on every corner, i find it actually annoying to see Psykers without the bubble shield.
I just treat it as 2 different paths to a similar goal (which are balanced as such) - Psykers have low input â low output, Zealots get high input â high output. Veterans are somewhere in between, closer to the Zealot side IMO (Deadshot, Reciprocity, Weapons Specialist being the âactiveâ sources, +5% all crit and 10% melee crit being the passive sources)
is deadshot even a passive source? its just always on as long as you dont hold ADS the whole mission. Also you are forgetting the 25% crit they get just for dodging stuff. For the most part ill agree to the input/output argument i just think its annoying that they have to work harder to reach similar levels of crit.
Iâm calling Deadshot active, because you need to maintain the stamina required to use it; if youâre at 0 stamina, you get nothing from it. Ultimately, you need to do something other than exist to benefit from it.
Reciprocity is the crit on dodge talent, IIRC. And it is 5% per stack up to 5 stacks rather than a straight 25%, so thereâs a ramp up.
oh, you right, i didnt read the name. while it is âActiveâ because you have to push the dodge button its basically always on if you are in melee.
Idk, i feel like if you are picking Deadshot you also have a stam curio, and everyone should already be running stam regen on curios so maybe i dont use it enough to remember the drain on it.
0.75 stamina per second, and 0.25 per shot. Again, the line I draw for âactiveâ vs âpassiveâ in this context is simply âDo I have to do something to gain and maintain the benefitâ. While ADSing is trivial thing to do, itâs still a thing and the bonus drops off at 0 stamina, so thereâs a non-zero amount of work involved. +5% crit node or the aura, you benefit as long as youâre not dead
I suppose by that definition, that makes sense. My definition of passive is always on or always on during normal gameplay, where ADS and dodging are normal gameplay. I could see that stamina being annoying, i just dont remember having issues with it when i used it before but i honestly havent used Deadshot or most of that left branch for a while now.
Yeah, itâs not like the current system is completely unsalvagable. They just need to remove locks, maybe tie it to a diamantine cost to âunlockâ them for a resource sink. Then add crafting recipes to shift the stat bars on items, so that we can do things like take a 380 base rating item with a bad dump stat and shift which bars have the low stat to make it usuable. Tie both of those to diamantine and youâve also solved the problem of having endless amounts of diamantine and nothing to buy with it.
The Part 2 Update still hasnât fixed the massive performance issues. When will there be a health update for the game to fix this? Another update gone and I still cannot play the game.
Edit: I have even tried changing the Worker Threads to every possible number, minimum settings, recommended settings, DLSS both on and off. Internet is not the issue as I tested it and get consistently <25ms. Tried fresh install, validation of game files and a text-edit of where the gameâs settings are stored. I am stumped.
I hope there would be a hotfix soon. Havent been able to properly play the game for nearly 2 weeks now due to server related errors. Its very frustrating as i have 670 hours into and love the game.
I usually run my Bullgryn with 1 health curio and 2 toughness curios. That with a shield and I can usually hold a wall of crushers long enough for my team to pick them off if I donât outright kill them. Bullgryn for the win.
FS doesnât really do hotfixes in the normal sense, they seem to do them every week or 2 not when problems show up. They arenât really hotfixes as much as non-major patches.
