Oh, then I misunderstood you. Yeah, the captains at the end of the assassination missions do count for that contract. The twins don’t.
Ammo return calculations are still using reserve ammo rather than total ammo. Can you please confirm if it is a bug/design oversight or a deliberate design decision targeted at the plasma gun or other high magazine-to-reserve ratio weapons?
Not sure I understand. Holding the primary action is supposed to charge the shot, right ?
The weapon will eventually fire if you continue to hold LMB (at a guess, I’d say it’s about 5 seconds). It seems like a bit of an unnecessary addition though
this cant possibly be working as intended, with the gun firing like once per 4 seconds
The test starts… NOW
Yeah it’s a tad overpowered! There will be a hotfix released that will address this soon.
I don’t mind “Acolytes”, but I really don’t get the big deal behind this opposition of being called “Rejects” because we’re literally the Imperium’s societal scum. The only problem with my argument is that Fatshark isn’t leaning into the “scum” side of things just enough; I’m talking Gas Grenades, wacky hair colours, etc.
Because at level 30 they call us full memebers of the warband. We get access to then Inquisitorial Rossette (this is a big deal) and access to rare and high tech weapons.
Fatshark couldn’t decide if they wanted us to be Penal Legion expendables or Inquisitorial Stormtroopers so they went for this middle ground that is thematically inconsistent and awful.
However I really don’t give af what they call us in patch notes.
I really like the idea of making us more or less undisciplined. When we get into the Inquisition, it’s because we’ve earned their respect, not because we’ve been a collective of goodie-two-shoeses.

These patch notes come to you, thanks to Mountain Dew and Doritos.
(give me your best/worst patch notes intro)
“We’re buffing all of the weapons that need to be nerfed, and nerfing all of the weapons that need to be buffed.”
After playing more, I take back all criticism of the notes. You addressed a lot of stuff. There are some audio bugs but the balance is vastly improved. I do wish you’d stop buffing vet though haha
Clearly you weren’t here when they gutted like half their passive talents? Aside from that, what buff did they really give this patch besides fixing their talent tree that had major issues? All I saw was bug fixes/tweaks section where they fixed talents not working properly and the talent tree. I think Vet is in a mostly good place, Executioner’s stance needs its reload back but otherwise the tree looks pretty good. I do wish they got their naturally higher toughness back without having to invest in every toughness node and curios, but to be fair they took away the Ogryn’s passive health and toughness damage reduction from pre-13 and never gave it back in talents. They put some toughness damage reduction nodes in but plenty of other classes get those too.
It’s a combination of things:
- For some reason they decided that whatever crafting system they had during development wasn’t good and they scrapped it and we got whatever they pulled together from the scraps of that system and whatever they could code of afterward. Before the game was released, they had mentioned that there was going to be weapon customization and attachments, and those are nowhere to be found in the game they released. They also made mention of “disenchanting” weapons to get their blessings and combine them with the same blessing pulled from other weapons to upgrade the rarity of blessings, then replace a blessing on a new weapon with that; all of which never made it into the game.
- The devs are unsure what they want to do with weapon crafting, seeing as they had to discuss for multiple months before they would even have any community managers communicate that they were planning on making the locks slightly better by allowing players to change up to 2 things about a weapons between perks and blessings
- I’m pretty sure that tencent had an influence in making the gacha-like crafting system that we currently have where it’s so easy to brick a decent base weapon, and it’s not fun at all to try to craft anything good. Gacha games are super popular in china, and the previous crafting systems in the vermintide games were vastly superior, so it’s probably an outside influence that made them make it worse than even any of the base game crafting that either vermintide game had before they were made better during each game’s respective life cycle.
- It seems like they don’t have the manpower to devote to building a better crafting system, or a strong leader with ideas on how to fix the current crafting system, so they’re just not willing to devote any manpower to it.
- At each game’s release, each crafting system has been pretty dumb for the vermintide games until they finally get around to fixing them about 2 years into the life of each game, so I expect it to take another year before we get a new/different/fixed crafting system, whichever route the devs decide to go.
I agree with most of your post, for sure. I think I understand where youre coming from. Vet really never got his toughness restoring talents brought back up to speed, but they were heads and shoulders stronger than all the other toughness restoring passives before. It was like 25% toughess and then another 25% toughness over 5 seconds on special kill, so like 50% toughness replenished out of a substantial pool. Rn, my vet has about 190 toughness without going out of my way. Not too shabby. My ogryn has like 160. My zealot like 120. The ogryn has a staggering ammount of DR in his tree. The vet has good toughness DR in his tre.
Either way, as I see the current vet tree, its WAY easier to navigate with each pass of the devs an now the easiest of all the trees to navigate maybe second to ogryn.
Oh no, im not saying the toughness regen got nerfed im merely talking about their toughness stat itself, whereas now you have to build into what you used to just get for free. Also without Feel No Pain, Ogryn has no Health DR. Ogryn has Toughness DR, but only about 30% i think the same that Zealot gets from passives as well.
It has. Ogryn still has a passive Health/Toughness DR built in (Tough Skin) that is basically Feel no Pain again, but without the stack mechanic or any need to spend points on it. It provides 20% health DR and 20 or 36 TDR (depending if it still self-stack the TDR part or not).
The sad part is the fix for crafting is super simple, they already showed that they can change the locks, the fix is removing locks, and adding a section to Melks to buy a T3 or T4 Blessing with like 2000 Diamantine and then cutting Plasteel costs(the limiting element of crafting) by like half. If they wanted to make it even better, remove resource pickups from missions and just give us max plasteel and diamantine for finishing the mission. Most pickups aren’t in crates anyways so it wont affect the loot economy, they just replace them with Stims.
Tough skin was pre-13, where is it now?
