When Companion Tag Target is set to ‘Press Once’ I will randomly not be able to tag anything.
I have no clue how to reproduce this bug, and I don’t know why it eventually goes away.

I got this yesterday too. The entire tag wheel refuses to appear and no tagging can happen at all.
I have this too, not only on arbitrator but on every class
I get this too and I have to restart game to fix it another reason to restart haha like the frame rate dropping until you reset isn’t enough hahaha
I’ve experienced this yesterday while playing a round of Mortis Trials (as Zealot).
Tagging did work eventually after a while and I can’t figure out how to reproduce it.

I’ve noticed it happening a lot recently, and it seems to most consistently trigger when either:
As well as being unable to tag, the tactical overlay won’t render apart from the mission clock in the bottom right when you hold the button.
99% of the time it tends to sort itself out within a few minutes, but my god is it annoying.

It’s completely random when it start but once it does, it goes all the way through until the end of the mission and has happened on 3 separate operatives (psyk, zeal, and arb)
I’ve been having this issue since the last update and thought it was a modding issue. This post seems to confirm it’s a Fatshark issue.
It happens randomly on all classes but most often around being disabled or downed. It will then start working again at some random time.
Getting this a lot on all classes. The only remedy I’ve found is waiting for it to randomly fix it self, and opening chests seems to fix it as well.
Was watching NewType and he had a teammate who was going to restart because of this bug. NT told him to pick up an item to fix it. Not sure if that’s a 100% mitigation until the bug is stomped, but give it a try!
It works yes, but bug should be fixed, I had clutch in auric malestorm this Saturday and while I won I had moment where I couldn’t tag, but I really needed it, I could’ve easily lost because I couldn’t do it. Need to keep this topic living.
Same problem. You also can’t choose the fastest replicas if this bug happens.
Can this issue please get some priority? I get it like 10 times every match, and it makes Veterans Focus Target useless half the time. It’s been going on for WAY too long at this point, without any attempted fixes.
This happens consistently when you help someone downed or ress them.
And it’s solved consistently when you open a chest. It should not take long for someone that knows the code base to find the problem and patch it.
Go to Psykanium spawn a bot, let it die, ress it, now you cant tag. Easily reproducible.
