Yes, that’s right!) But I’m not arguing that these new guns can’t be playable on a melee soldier, I’ve tried that too. It’s just that they seem far less interesting on him compared to the Zealot; it feels like all three weapons were specifically made for him. And considering how much they’ve buffed the Obscurus on the Psyker, which I’ve been using for the past month, that’s also true))).

I’m not entirely sure what I can talk about that isn’t exceedingly surface level nor am I used to this whole “semi-public” nature of the test group. It’s a bit of an uncomfortable position to be in because it feels kinda like I’m having my feet held to the fire for things I generally can’t explicitly confirm nor deny. I definitely don’t feel comfortable being an involuntary spokesperson for a group that isn’t a monolith and is actually a group of diverse players and opinions; it’s simply not my place to do so nor is it my job.

The “elusive discord test group” isn’t the only layer of testing updates go through and people generally have an (understandably) very inaccurate view of what the actual dynamic of these tests is and the level of influence we do or don’t have.

Sorry this answer is a bit of a rambling non-answer. I can reach out to FS to see what I can do re: communication about test group stuff but otherwise you can get a vibe on what my personal opinions are on the state of the game from my posts in the various threads here.

Tested the new map. I HATE IT

This card is really rubbish. The path we are following makes no sense.
Already on the other maps I found that sometimes it was a bit bad, there it’s not sometimes, it’s all along the map.
And I don’t like the beginning next to the void… an Ogryn and we end up at the bottom.

I am now forced not to use the quickplay option because of this thing.

Have fun choosing other missions with the new mission taking up one-third of the choices in the normal mission board and 20% of the auric board.

game keeps freezing for me, thats a downer

If you want more info watch telopots recent two streams. He very openly tells what he and certain testers tried to influence, and which changes went through.

i think all the new weapons are pretty good

I would have preferred more 40k weapons, but 2 out of 4 is a vast improvement over previous weapon additions. That said, the balance of 40k weapons is still disappointing due to them being still relatively neutered in stats and/or usability compared to some mundane weapons.

That rework can’t come soon enough. I’m down to 65k plasteel from 125k and the only weapons I’ve built so far are:

One of each shock maul
Bolt Pistol
half a decent shotgun

I will most likely quit after this week, before touching the pickaxes, because I don’t want my plasteel to go down to zero. If melk has something I’ll maybe grab that, which is unlikely. The sensible choice to me is to just quit playing instead of sitting there for 2 hours trying to test and roll a blessing combination I like for 3 pickaxes. At this point I’d rather not try a weapon than risk wasting all mats only to find out that I don’t enjoy a mark/weapon type.
Great retention system guys. Really.

Not to mention that the game is virtually unplayable due to all the bugs, a lot of blessings not working correctly and the all out server quality dropping to almost zero.
I think I’ll just be trying to play 1-2 full runs of the new map with my group without crashes and then log out until after summer. A single map isn’t worth suffering through this system.

Nothing. I have a few antaxes in my inventory with 100% stats that had correct numbers before. It’s a glorified display/UI error

This is being fixed in the hotfix today! It is a visual only bug.

By what I can tell, alongside new weapons and new mission map, alot has been worked on, especially to every map, which I commend. That is alot of work put in, has sparked my interest in playing those mission maps (especially when I noticed the change to the Carnival where the wall that was removed on the way to that opening prior to elevator, and then the amphitheater having the drop-down barricade rampart to force players to not camp in former choke point).

I am not keen on the Zealot nerfs, as I have experienced some difficulties recovering with Holy Revenant, barely getting any health back, usually under 25%, only to get downed after escaping danger, regardless of my ability and skill to spam dodging, blocking, etc.

Most of the blessings fixes seem good, Infernus is unfortunately not all that great and gets nerfed more to where its not even worth it imo… nerfing Blaze Away even by one percent seems difficult because its already an insane difficulty to see how Blaze Away even made anything shine even though it was highly praised by meta build fanatics. Especially for how in most cases its usually locked to Tier 3 only.

Another confusing thing for me is when having those blessings that are only found in Tier 2 and 3, the weapons total point values for any weapon closest to 380 (and maxed perks), the weapon ends up being lower on the list of best weapons in the inventory to where only a player can remember that weapon even if its down the list is the good one (just confusing in logic to me)

Cosmetic and VO fixes are awesome, one that I want to bring to attention is that my favorite Zealot backpack cosmetic, the Codex Xenos, gets clipping by the backside of Zealots upper body cosmetics like hoods or robe like components of the cosmetics. It causes visual interference of the Codex Xenos where there ends up looking like a tongue hanging out of the cover of the book (lol). It also happens with almost any backpack item the Zealot wears. Hopefully that can be something that is fixed on all cosmetics to stop the backside details from clipping through backpack items.

I appreciate the fixes to the Bolter and other weapons I like alot.
