Question about enemy fire grenades

Does the bombers fire grenade have a set amount of “tiles” they are forced to cover when they explode?

As an example, if a fire grenade lands on a narrow walk way, will the fire spread for a longer distance along the walk way, basically spreading further than its normal radius, because the fire does not have anywhere to go to the sides of the walkway?

I am asking because i have experienced fire grenade explosions cover more area than what my muscle memory tells me is normal, both times it happened was while i was in areas that has narrow geometry.

Yea

it covers a radius. if you catch it in a small hallway it loses some total coverage but because you’re in a narrow hallway it looks like a lot more. it’s a trick of spacial awareness, you feel like there should be less space because you’re unconsciously scaling down the area to fit in your head.

I’m pretty sure the tox grenade does the same thing? or maybe its just massive regardless.

I see, i never really noticed it until like a couple of days ago when fire chased me up a narrow staircase.

great question, I am unsure, but all I can say is the more you continue to face the fire grenades , or fire AoE, the more you will begin to understand how far you should be running away. Kind of like 2nd nature. I just bunny hop out and pray to holy terra!
