Massive corruption build up from Beast of Nurgle

This kind of corruption build up seems to drastic considering that i was only touching the BoN slime trail and i was not getting hit by its vomit attack. I have never seen this kind of corruption build up unless i was actually eaten by the BoN

Is this a bug or some kind of intended change that was not mentioned in the patch notes?

I can back that I’ve seen that too, only seems to happen on Beast of Nurgle and only on and off. But on occasion it does just build up like lightning with no explanation for it.
