Make the user's BB Aura a different colour

I’m not sure if this will have been suggested before, but…

For a general quality of life thing, please change it so that the user (if they’re playing as a psyker, obviously) has a different colour for their brain burst aura to what they see for other players.

I’ve had few times in game where with another psyker on the team, I’m not sure which of us actually locked on to one of the charging Ragers, and which of us was the one that accidentally locked the poxwalker shambling next to them - because both of us (as far as I can tell) have identical lock on indicators.

Great suggestion!

I would say that the BB aura should be visible only by the psyker “casting” it. This would solve both your problem and the tendency of other players to shoot the marked BB targets.

Very bad idea. It would not solve anything.
Yes, stupid players could no longer purposely focus down the blue boy.
But non stupid players could no longer actively avoid doing something dumb.
Also, players would no longer know, which enemy will soon get stunned and take a massive slap from the psyker.

I would suggest that the BB target keeps looking the way it looks now, except from the perspective of the psyker whose BB it is.
For the brainbursting psyker, the entire targeted enemy should additionally glow blue and be visible through obstacles (like the red glow of a tagged enemy, or the yellow glow of veteran ult targets) with the option to turn it off (some people might dislike it for some reason).
This would also help with finding the correct target, when trying to lock onto something that is surrounded by other enemies (in that case it is hard to tell, what enemy you locked on to).

No, I do want the aura to remain visible for all.

Yes, if a player does want to deliberately grief (or is just ignorant of how BB/Warp charges work and thinks “ooh, a conveniently highlighted target for me to shoot!”) then that is a bit of a problem, but it is still important information for other players.

If I see a psyker’s BB aura around the head of anything but the toughest targets, then it means I can worry about engaging something else. It also means - if I’m not trying to be a jerk - that I can leave the target for them to get the warp charge from.

Alas, yes, it can be abused by bad players, but with responsible ones it is better it’s there.
