Issue Description:
When starting the game, the font size of the ingame subtitles is reset to its default value. When you check the settings however, it is still set to whatever you’ve set it to before.
Steps to Reproduce:
[Please add the steps that can help our QA department in reproducing the issue. For example:]
Start the game and set the font size to something other than the default of 32. I’ve set it to 24.
Exit the game
Restart the game
The font size is reset to 32, even though it says it’s set to 24 in the settings.
Text size and opacity resets after every quit, tho in the settings menu, values stay as set before, but the actual on screen text is shown by default (which is way too big, I think). Therefore I need to change numbers every time I start the game.
Same happened to several of my graphic settings like Anti-aliasing, but these settings even got turn off in the settings menu.
Issue Description: Immediately on boot, the ‘text size’ or ‘font size’ value in the settings is completely ignored and the subtitles are displayed in massive size on the screen. It does not change until the font size is adjusted by at LEAST 1 whole number.
Steps to Reproduce:
Start the game. I don’t do anything else - it happens on every single game boot, without my input. The only thing I do on each boot to ‘fix’ the issue, is adjusting the text size up or down by just 1 whole number to update the subtitle size to the correct one.
i.e…
Start Darktide Program
Load into main lobby
Move around until dialogue is triggered and I can confirm the font size is still an issue
Open Options and adjust text size by 1 up or down (example - personally set text size to 15, adjust it to 14 or 16, text is corrected. Game starts with something like 60-100

Approx. Time of Issue & Timezone:
Every boot.
Last Example - 12/2/22 1:22 AM EST
1 - text size on boot
2 - going to options and seeing current text size setting it should already be
3 - Adjustment of value by 1
4 - New updated text size is then correctly shown
Btw, for me they change back to the values that I have set in the options after a match sometimes. So it seems to be something about reading it from the config on startup.
I was wondering if I was the only one with this issue or if others have it too. Every time I re open the game, any edits that I have done to the subtitles reset. The options that i set are still there but visually it goes back to default. I tend to turn off the subtitles or edit them to be a little smaller. No matter what I do the next time I open the game the subtitles are back to default, and my settings are still the same. Anyone else have this problem?
+1 I have exact the same issue as discribed here.
Every startup subtitle settings, font size etc are reset, despite the fact they are shown as I set them on the interface tab.

I wouldn’t care as much as I do, if the game didn’t also crash all the time. Means I’m turning off subtitles half a dozen times every night I try and play.
It’s actually after re-loading the game at all, but crashing is the most common reason to re-load the game, so…
edit- TO BE CLEAR - The options are set to OFF here, that doesn’t switch back to ON after re-loading. They appear to stay OFF, but the two options revert back to being ON in-game
