Increase ADM for strikedown, assassin and heavy attacks on weaker weapons

i think the biggest issue with parry is teammates. there’s too many things in this game that just completely staggerlock crushers. if someone decides he’s helping you by knocking a crusher over your damage on it will be near 0 until he’s back up (and probably gets knocked down again)

You are only spammed with overheads because you kite too far away.

Nobody said anything about deleting crushers?

Let me tell you what I am talking about: The devils claw is the rock bottom of fighting carapace with 300 to 1000 DPS if not using the parry. On the other side of the spectrum you have stuff like the ds with 2k to 4k DPS. That makes a variety of 3700 DPS. Add 1dps to the devils claw and you reduce the variety by 1 DPS to 3699. Now you tell me this increases variety…And I tell you that is (in my eyes) a damn hard argument to explain.

So based on your logic, if we add a wet news paper as weapon that can deal literally no damage, we gain weapon variety because the other weapons deal that much more damage than the worst weapon. I’m talking about build variety, which means I have more options with some of the worst weapons against carapace because I’m not forced to bring a bolter every time I want to use a non meta weapon. The Devils Claw counter is still no argument to me because while it can deal damage, you always rely on the enemies to attack you first and a counter shouldn’t be the only way to deal with an enemy. My point is that you ACT like I want every weapon delete carapace, because what the hell else are you arguing here then? As if a small buff to a weapon that nobody is using will somehow ruin the game. If there are 100 weapons in the game and 5 of them are godlike and the rest is absolute garbage then it is not variety, it’s bad balance and that’s what you’re defending here with your weird dps difference logic.

There is a good bit of subjective thoughts in that sentence. What if I tell you that I never run catachan sword with bolter? There are options and some classes can work better with it than other classes. That is what I call build variety. Not slap on a weapon and fight the same on every loadout and class. That is boring because it has no variety.

Which brings me to:

On which I answer yes absolutely, it would bring a whole new difficulty in theory crafting. I would obviously expect it to be absolute disgustingly powerful in another aspect to balance that weakness. That would be an awesome addition to the game which could bring new setups with different focus. But instead we get those Jack of all trades and master of everything weapons like ds fgs arbimaul… So instead of homogenising weapons I would prefer them to keep their persona. Maybe now you understand why

Catachan Sword is one of my favourite weapons in the game. It is one of the most difficult weapons to play but if you have the awareness and everything clicks it is awesome to play. You need to have a very good understanding of where are you teammates, what are they doing, which enemy is currently attacking, when will the attack land… Now if you add an anti carapace combo which is stronger than working with parry that sword will loose its finesse and be one of the bunch. Worse yet, now that it has a means to fight any enemy in the game it will be the best weapon in the game because you not only can handle every enemy but also have the easiest safest counter to the hardest ones: Rinda Karnack and demon hosts.
