Issue Description:
Framerates of 137+ stable in-game even during intense moments. Absolutely rock solid. However, opening text chat cuts that to 80-90, and opening menus in the mourningstar cuts it to 90-100 or thereabouts.
Mourningstar menus return to max framerate after a second or so of being displayed, but the drop reoccurs once the menu is closed, before once again returning to normal.
For text chat, framerate remains low for the duration the chat window is open. Once it is closed, framerate immediately returns to normal.
In both instances, the major shift in framerate induces nasty screen tearing, even on an active Gsync monitor. Occurs in both full-screen and FS-windowed modes.
Attempted Solutions:
Deactivate frame generation. This seems to fix it, but it’s unclear if it’s because the overall framerate is lower as a result (and therefore there is less difference between framrate changes).
Platform:
Steam/Win 11
[PC] PC Specifications:
i9 12900k (stock), RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5, RTX high in launcher, max graphics settings (no motion blur), RTX GI high, RTX reflections low, frame generation on, DLSS balanced (but occurs in all modes), Gsync monitor.
Definitely not mods. I’ve never used them. I do run a multi-monitor setup though, wondering if it’s something to do with that. Seen a few posts from other framegen users and they have no issues.
Specs: rtx 4090 Tuf OC, r7 7800x3d, 32GB 6000 MHz DDR5. Temps perfectly in check with 70 degrees max on both CPU and GPU under intense heavy load.
In-game-settings: Graphics maxed out including RT. FPS: capped 144.
Issues exactly as OP described.
(Sidenote: Regular frametime-spikes independent of spawns or graphic demands. Also present in the Morningstar. Pronounced when using mods and specifically the wepaon-customization mod, but still present in an unpatched vanilla-game. (Lua-mem-allocation issue?)
Ye,after fire hotfix game just bricked for me,previously i can stream and never lower than 70fps doesnt matter what horde and intensity happens, now 55-43 plus input lags. Sad stuff that u need beast machine in order to play in even average performance output.
