Excellent, more granularity was needed, this should be helpful.

Might I also suggest a “Don’t game on Wi-Fi” warning message if it detects a wireless adapter on launch?

:sob: no constant warning messages without a way to disable them

Please no.

They should fix bots to never use med stations though.

I’ve had my fill of Mortis. If that gets added to the QP, it might actually be worse than story missions.

PSA: new nVidia drivers

Including:

Gaming Technology

  • Support for Global DLSS Overrides and NVIDIA Smooth Motion support for GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs

Fixed General Bugs

  • Potential memory leak when using NVENC hardware encoding [5442678]

  • Power cycling monitor can result in monitor flickering when NVIDIA App is installed [5434811]

  • NVIDIA App game filter issues after driver update [5429651]

And an interesting new feature for nV App (opt in to beta)

Our newest NVIDIA app beta update launches today, August 19th, at 9am PT. Download by opting into beta and experimental feature Early Access in Settings > About, or grab the non-beta version the following week.

Once the new driver and app update are both installed, you’ll discover that DLSS overrides can now be activated for every compatible game on your system at once with the global toggle, instead of on a per-game basis. Additionally, the status of DLSS overrides can now be seen in-game on the Alt+R statistics overlay, NVIDIA Smooth Motion is now available for GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs, a streamlined NVIDIA Surround setup screen has been added, top requested 3D settings have been brought over from the NVIDIA Control Panel, and Project G-Assist is now available for all GeForce RTX GPUs with 6GB or more of VRAM, including laptops.

nice. get to try it only late today. curious if it makes movement smoother indeed. not that it’s not smooth on a 4090, but whatever can be improved.

Excellent hotfix, four times everyone crashed from Havoc 40, and on the winning game I was thrown out right in the elevator during evacuation. Did Havoc count for me? No. And everyone who played complained about lags and freezes.

10 cosmetic fixes out of 10

Still dealing with endless havoc demotes. Can’t realistically climb the havoc ladder on a limited schedule. I only have time for 4-5 games a week, I get one good team on one of those five games and will shoot up 2-3 levels as I am able to punch above my current assignment rank. Two of five games you get to the end and have 6 bosses spawn on a narrow bridge and two team mates get poxbursted/barreled off the edge. The other two games you just end up with bad players or people who arent yet familiar or skilled enough to truly be in havoc (looking at most of you arbites). It wouldnt be an issue if there were double the amount of attempts before demotion maybe, I do understand RNG and dont have a problem with failing games. Its the hardest content, I dont expect to clear each game. What I do expect is to not get punished for other players playing badly, for disconnects (whether mine or not), for bad RNG/Map/Modifier combos, etc. Its especially punishing because I love this game, and I pretty much put all of my “alloted” time for gaming each week into it, and still cant progress. This seems like a very easy issue to fix. Many people have been asking about it for quite some time. Im all for difficult content, dont even hate the weekly decay, maybe even for ranks above havoc 40 eventually, but this derank system has to go.

Fixing the consistent disconnecting would ruin the challenge and skill expression of the game, casuals would never get it.

I agree with removing rank-down penalties, but Havoc isn’t, and shouldn’t be, the kind of difficulty that you can clear with random teammates you just matched with.
Most of the players who try to take on Havoc are the same ones who can’t even clear Auric without relying on meta, and this mode isn’t meant to be played alongside people like that.
Especially HiHavoc, at the very least, it should require the skill to clutch an Auric HiSTG run without using any meta builds. And realistically, that’s maybe only 1–2% of the Darktide playerbase.
Of course, I still think the Havoc Director, which suddenly throws impossible challenges at you, has plenty of room for bug fixes and improvements.

The hotfix for the buffs not showing up is nice, but unfortunately introduced a crash scenario.

If your buff bar overflows due to temporary buffs being too numerous, the game will crash.

There’s already a mod that fixes this issue called “Temporary Buff Bar Fix”.

I think its funny the only balance change here is fixing the hot shot bug…basically kicking veteran while they’re down and turbo outclassed by dog man (or angry bomb/mine man with no dog).
