Combat Shotguns have an (supposedly) issue with firing animation sequence, making reloading them an irritating chore

This weapon family assumes you constantly reload them, often after each 1-3 shots. The problem is, after you shoot them there is a rather long window (up to 500ms) when your input (pressing the reload button) seems to be completely ignored (not even delayed) - very quickly forcing a daunting, irritating habbit of pressing the button repeatedly every time you need to reload on you.

I’m presenting it as a bug because arbitrator’s shotgun doesn’t have such issue at all - you can press reload button almost immediately after firing it and be 100% sure one press is enough, the reload sequence will always follow. Thus I consider it is a bug only present in Combat Shotguns family. It probably has something to do with uncancellable shooting animation on those weapons.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. In the simulation, wield any Combat Shotgun
  2. Fire it once, then immediately press the reload button; note that reload didn’t happen, your input was ignored
  3. Repeat the test, but try to increase the interval between firing it and pressing the button until you reach an interval that 100% guarantee you that reload will start after pressing the reload button once; note that this interval is rather long, not suitable for a fast-paced game DT is these days (nobody will wait for that long after firing the weapon, they’ll press reload button much sooner than that)
