Characters complain about armor when attacking Scab Captains

Issue Description (Required):

During Traitor Captain boss fights in Assassination missions, the boss will have a Void Shield that prevents all health damage before it breaks. Attacking this shield is the only way to get to the juicy heretic underneath; but for some reason, player characters will whine about “ineffectively hitting” armor while you whale on him.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Play assassination mission, reach final boss.
  2. Start attacking the boss as usual.
  3. Characters will start to complain that YER STRIKING ARMOR, KINDRED and YOU’RE HITTING ARMOR, YOU STUPID FRAGGER

it’s a refractor shield, not a void shield. those are very different things in the setting and void shields are either 1: huge or 2: worth more than the hive is.

the issue is correct, for us players the lines sound out of place.

question is can the rejects even tell the difference?

for all they know they are hitting armor :smile:

guess game wise its just a simple 1/0 true or false check at the one wrong enemy.

Tomayto, tomahto. All of the material I’ve seen regarding them lists it as a Void Shield, so that’s what I’m calling it. Doesn’t change the main issue that player characters are being even whinier than usual for no reason.
