Can't Read Descriptions for Weapon Skins or Weapon Trinkets

Are players not supposed to be able to read Weapon Skin and Weapon Trinket descriptions after they purchase them?

Am I daft or are other players able to look at these item descriptions after they are obtained and placed in the player’s cosmetics library?
