If you equip the weapon and click the cog next to it, you should be able to select the base illusion there at the bottom of that menu.

Okay, that’s ultra-weird. @FatsharkLev paging you for support on this - is it possible that OP doesn’t actually have the base Coghammer skin unlocked for whatever reason?
@Arondight214 hey! so I’ve checked your account and you do have Beardling’s Coggrund unlocked correctly from a backend perspective. The video above shows the illusion failing to apply, which can sometimes happen from a temporary backend hiccup/desync. Are you able to apply the illusion if you try again now?

Hm okay, that’s strange. I wonder if the issue could be UI-related. Can you please try switching UI and let me know if you can then apply the illusion?

@Arondight214 huh, very bizarre. I checked your account data just now and did notice that a weapon illusion had somehow been applied to your coghammer blueprint… which shouldn’t be a thing. I’ve now removed this - in case this was the source of the issue, please can you try restarting Vermintide 2 and check both UI’s again?
Please let me know if this works. Otherwise I’ll need to escalate this to one of our backend developers.
I’ve just received a similar report from another player that also can’t apply the base coghammer skin. I checked their data and they didn’t have any issue with their blueprint - so likely a red herring, sorry about that.
I’ve now raised the issue with our backend developers. Due to the holidays this won’t be picked up immediately, but I’ll let you know once I hear back from them.
