And then die to the slighest hit?
Almost everyone uses curse protection on legend, the UI just doesn’t always show it.
In fact UI shows correct numbers only to the host, if you are playing as a client you can’t see if someone has curse resistnce or not.
Confirmation bias at work.
Not to mention one hit from a single slave rat on Legend will deal a ton of damage to you. The way they worked out the damage models or something. Single enemies do more damage than hordes or groups.
And yea, everyone I know runs curse protection and crit/cooldown.
Yeh… I mean… you can run w/o it but it seems pretty suicidal considering the mechanics on skating enemies, hyperstacks, silent backstabs, hits through walls, etc guarantee that unless someone’s being a perma-turtle they’re gonna take hits. I find minimum +20% health +33% curse resistance on even squishies is just enough to compensate for bs that shouldn’t be happening, factoring in minimum human response time. Countless times I’ve been at full health then am suddenly getting multiple hits through the wall/floor and immediately block to save myself with a sliver of health left.
The chaos slidinig is so good, you cannot outrun them with a speed-stacked slayer. They will slide behind you and still hit you. Makes you wonder: If they fixed that for skaven, why not do the same on chaos?
Noticed this last night on RV. On other characters I almost always side-dodge, which negates more of that crap, but I wanted to be able to back-dodge and gain distance to funnel everything into grudge blasts more easily so I stacked mvmt and was doing more back-dodging. Regardless of distance, everything managed to close it while in their attack animation. It is infuriating. Halfway through its swing and it just glides an extra 7ft to still land the blow? F that. Very cheesy and unfun.
And completely unnecessary, too. CW are completely fine without their sliding. It doesn’t make them more dangerous, only both more ridicilous looking and as you said, cheesy.
Strange, I often see health bars with very varying length.
I dont know for sure, but Id hazard a guess that most people DO use curse resistance on legend. Even if they are amazing players, they will still take a hit here or there. A lag hit, a bug educed hit etc. I dont trust myself on the best of days to go without curse resistance
I just don’t trust the game XD
yea, if the ice skating northerners and random hits through block get fixed. I might decide to start running crit and cooldown instead of curse resistance and one of them. But right now it’s too risky except for on IB and HM in my opinion.
Honestly I found it almost meaningless.
I run 20%hp+33% curse resi, with 2 grims on my shade, clanrats hit for33-50% of my hp, and everything up from a marauder running attack onehits me anyway(if it silently sneaks up behind me as they usually do)… A blocked bosshit is around 50% or more(remaining) hp, and a stormfiend flame kills you if you are not maxed up, gas 3 tick at max.
So basically if i cant dodge something i die to the slightest hit WITH my curseresi trinket.
WOHOO thats ““low risk”” high reward b.tches…(to everyone whos crying about shade)
