In Vermintide 1, before the match started, a giant banner that stated “PREPARE YOURSELVES” would flash across the screen while the 5 second countdown started. This is notably absent in Vermintide 2.
In my opinion, this is a tragic turn for the worse for Vermintide. Players will be woefully unprepared for the horror of tides of rat vermin and northmen that beset the players at every turn, and are forced to adapt to new and unseen enemies.
Restoring the “PREPARE YOURSELVES” banner would at least give players a few moments to psychologically PREPARE THEMSELVES for the living horror that awaits them in each match.
