# Unable to launch the game

Game does not get past the spinning logo after compiling shaders

no specific error

**Steps to Reproduce:**  
Launch the game

**Platform:**  
[Steam/Microsoft Store]  
Steam  
**Player ID:**  
hope69420

**Approx. Time of Issue & Timezone:**  
midnight EST

## **Reproduction Rate:** Once - Rare (\<10%) - Unusual (\<25%) - Common (\<50%) - Often (\<75%) - Constant (100%) 100% constant

n/a see other posts with similar issues since recent patch, was able to run the game a week or two ago?

Could you try removing your AppData for Darktide, and see if there’s any improvement please?:

1. Press the Windows key + R
2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
4. Delete the entire ‘Darktide’ directory
5. Re-launch as normal

I tried that multiple times prior to posting this thread, along with system reboots

that being said, the game is launching now for some reason
