Unable to launch the game, crash after sharkintro when loading icon is spinning in bottom right corner

I have been trying to launch this game now for a decent amount of time, I’ve tried it in dx11 and dx12 mode, intro starts, goes through until you get the spinning icon in bottom right corner and then it just nopes out. This is getting a bit frustrating.

Can add that upon launching game it claims that it cannot identify my hardware and sets the settings to low. Which shouldn’t really be happening either. Got the latest GameReady drives for my 3060 and no updates for my Win 11.

I’ve tried re-installing, I’ve tried verifying, I’ve tried the EAC removal of certs/re-verified, different resolutions etc.

I don’t really see anything else here I could try, so, is there anything I am missing here? Is there any log which is readable that might tell me anything about why the game is crashing on startup?

I think this is an Easy Anti-Cheat-related issue, but the error being produced is so obscure! Could you please perform a ‘Selective Startup’ which can help rule out any interference:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load Startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
  6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal, and see if the issue persists
