This Event proves Fatshark doesn't play this game, or listen to the community

How do you see complaints about pushes on bursters not registering, silent bursters, lag, the previous complaints about the event that was filled to the brim with conga party bursters, issues regarding how much lag occurs from all the screen clutter.

You simply CANNOT claim “We see you and hear you” with non sense like 20 bulwarks spawning at once??? the most broken and unfun enemy to fight in game. Even with the chance of blitz restoration, thats just not fun or engaging. Having a delete button for an annoying enemy that still comes in clown cars even after you use all of your nades, and all of your rockets is not fun.

If anything, this event is just a less fun version of the game, you’ve removed the enemy variety and just spamming the same 3 damn enemies. it’s just lazy as sin.

For me, the only way I’ve had fun is by playing with direct counters to these enemies, like my melee psyker build and Crusher Zealot. Even then it’s still an utter pain to play this event. It would be so, so much more fun if they had just not added burster spam.

Fatshark, if you DO play this game on every difficulty, including Auric. How did you green light this event??

This event is a strategy to sell DLC. Having and not having RPG are completely different experiences.

You make a GREAT POINT actually

Overall it’s not too bad if you have a decent Krak build Vet or a Voidblast Psyker, still not nearly as effective as BB Scum though. But those Bulwark clown cars are unrelenting and very obnoxious, very antithetical to what makes Darktide fun.

Exactly! and the freaking bursters! a run is going just fine until THE FREAKING BURSTERS!

Also whats up with ogyrns dropping a nade after they die? thats nothing more than being plain damn annoying honestly.

The last two events were pure doodoo

While you are surely right, I agree totally with the author.
This event, and also the others, are just easy to do and are clearly a lazy way to put content in the game.

The last event was a masterpiece compared to this piece of hot garbage RPG spam simulator.

I mean, if you replace “trickle” wave events with Bulwarks - which is what this event does - that’s something you should be expecting.

I wish events informed people as to what they do with the gameplay formula - instead we have to rely on code that’s not easily accessible, despite being descriptive otherwise.

This is the mutator information for the event - why can’t that be parsed into marketable text that’s embedded somewhere in-game, and/or in the news postings, I wonder (credit to syllogism for sharing this in Darktide community Discord).

Because the majority of events are a rather effective means of reusing assets, is my guess.

Melk’s view is ripe to have this information, given that it now has an events panel. The real barrier would be localisation for all that guff.

It is, I concur. I do not think the localisation is that big of a barrier, however - most of these modifiers require a one-and-done kind of localisation, with variables defined for some things they tackle, but say, trickle waves? That’s a basic AI Director feature that drives map progression events.

Fatshark does not tackle technical explanations at all, is the problem - explaining complex gameplay concepts to people is not really feasible on the merit that it will fend casual people off, or something that needs tackling at all, because why’d the devs educate people on how to interpret their game.

At least they can put up a brag post again next year.

“X amount of events released”

Doesn’t matter if anyone actually enjoyed it, if it pulled players back in or if it contained anything actually new.

I think it’s fine and a bit goofy

Interesting POV.

I mean, the event is a phone in when you can hold 3 rockets. Hivescum cooking. I have stopped playing with off meta and it’s fine. But if you are not a meta slave the games weaknesses get exposed.

Should have had a hivescum unlockable outfit sponsored by the conclave as the 10 mission.

lmao this pisses me off to no end. It applies in upper levels of Havoc as well. If somebody gets downed, they will send in consecutive bursters amongst a mutant-hound combo to make sure you can’t revive them.
