The game has a lot of sound problems:
Silent specials, silent patrols, no backstab sounds can plague a game.
There’s no actual consistency: sometimes sound is fine or so, most of the times you have no idea of what’s going on
do you use the third person weapon mod? thats causing sound problems for some people (me included) try deactivating it and see if it helps
