# The game PING value is too high

After version 1.2.0.4 is updated, why do I always match a host game with a ping value of 300 or more? My current address is China, shouldn’t it match gamers in China? Is the list of games displayed in my game catalog all on European or American servers?

Are you using a VPN or is it possible your IP address is matching as belonging to some other country?  
You could try this link or find one similar to try to work it out: [https://www.iplocation.net/](https://www.iplocation.net/)

Are you matching with Chinese players or are you matching with players of some other ethnicity?

If you Start a QP, does the ingame Chat shows multiple times “increased search range”?

If not, maybe your steam region settings are wrong. (V2 - settings - downloadregion)
