Terminus Warrant seems to be visually bugged at a minimum, possibly more. Stacks do not follow the behavior described in the tooltip. For much of the time, I have to drain Ranged Justice completely in order to build Melee Justice, but sometimes I don’t and I’m unsure why. I also haven’t tested whether this behavior is purely a visual thing or if I am actually not reaping the benefits of this talent and its corresponding nodes properly.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
Normal gameplay seems to indicate that you have to drain stacks of one type in order to build the other (which honestly seems like poor design but idk). However, sometimes, I cannot figure out why, I’ll have stacks of both types simultaneously. Amounts for each stack vary.
The way i see it, this tree is more about boosting ranged damage for weapons with low rate of fire, it is easy to build up 30 stack on melee hits, but it is much harder to build melee stack on ranged hits and if you use weapons with high rate of fire, then stacks that you build in melee will dry fast, but you probably will get significant bonuses to melee instead. I am using this with shotgun, i have nearly permanent 30 stacks for ranged bonus, but i barely reach 15 for melee bonuses.
Yep it’s meant to be used with high-cleave ranged weapons like the arbites shotgun… At the moment it’s not a great keystone since you really need to swap weapons so damn often. It’s much harder to keep in mind than the veteran’s weapon specialist.
I’ve been able to replicate this issue a number of times
It’s not related to exhausting all melee stacks or ranged attacks, I have a few examples where even without any melee stacks available, a melee hit will still not generate a ranged stack.
