I’m experiencing a strange issue with Frame Generation in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and am looking for some help.
On the Official Realm, Frame Generation works flawlessly. However, on the Modded Realm (with the exact same PC setup and environment), the option becomes unclickable. When I hover my mouse over it, it displays the error message: “Unsupported Version”.
Here is what I have already tested and confirmed:
Mods: I disabled all mods completely, but the issue persists (Official Realm works fine, Modded Realm still gives the “Unsupported Version” error).
API: The game is definitely running on DirectX 12.
Windows Settings: Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) is enabled.
Drivers: I am using an RTX 5070 Ti with the latest NVIDIA graphics drivers installed.
It seems like the Modded Realm client might be handling the DLSS/Frame Generation binaries differently, or perhaps detecting a mismatch. I have attached screenshots of the error on the Modded Realm and my PC specifications for reference.
Has anyone encountered this or knows how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
"Thanks for the reply! I checked the properties of both files in the binaries folder, and both the File Version and Product Version are exactly 3.5.0.0. It works fine on the Official Realm, but still gives the ‘Unsupported Version’ error on the Modded Realm. I wonder if the modded executable is having trouble recognizing my RTX 5070 Ti."
@kingma1999 I believe I responded to your support ticket, but just wanted to add a further check here to try.
Another player recently encountered a similar issue. Could you follow the same instructions using the Microsoft Utility to list all DLLs used by the process. Please do this for both both Official realm and Modded realm so we can compare:
