This actually pretty solid, but I would make one change to it:

Leadstorm roots you in place for half a second while it activates and then stays active until you move again.

That way good positioning can get you more than 5 seconds of dakka.

So your saying you still get 5 seconds, but it lasts forever if you don’t move? Sounds like it might be kind OP. Maybe you simply get extended duration for not moving instead?

Maybe, but it might help with the problem that there is never enough dakka.

You wouldn’t get a free 5 seconds actually, it simply ends when you move. I don’t think it would be OP, it would emphasize the gameplay of setting up at a good vantage point where you can get the greatest possible benefit.

It’s extremely unlikely that you’ll never have to move because of the sheer number of enemies that exist to frustrate that kind of play, like grenadiers, snipers and mutants. If you find the perfect place to just funnel all enemies into a killbox though, why shouldn’t it be extremely effective?

I think I like the timer and ability to move personally. Turret gameplay doesn’t appeal as much to me.
