The new “double-gates” right before and after the first scanning event should be reverted. They´re just timewasting, break the whole map immersion and fluid gameplay.
I do know that there are other types of gates, elevators etc… right before other events. But this one just feels wrong. I actually loved Hab Dreyko for being more fast-paced and player-related than having waiting times and forced “barricades”. And no, it´s not because i want to rush and leaving my teammates behind. It´s just that it destroys the feeling of “playing on a full map” somehow. Open a gate just to open a gate… like srsly.
Dunno if that´s a fix to the exploit i read about, but there should be another way of fix tbh. Please revert it.
Just played the Relaisstation and it´s the same there… The last maptile right before the endevent got locked behind a door.
Just why? Does so many poeple wiped there? Or are those changes made for a better performance / loading times?
The more “free” maps were way better.
Also there are 2 medstations on Enklavuum Baross way to close to each other now, again right before the endevent. Is this intended or a bug?
I think the hab dreyko gates were implemented at least partially for performance reasons. When you close a gate it allows you to unload all of the assets behind it and that particular map had bad performance. It used to be that I wasn’t able to get more than 45 FPS in the atrium area.
That being said, if acceptable performance can be gained without the gates then they should be removed. The old configuration where the door automatically closes once all four players pass through was good enough.
