As a refresher, the Insignias are the banners to the left of our character’s frame. Currently, there are… seven? of the things in the game, but due to the accidental access given to them during the second Beta we know there is something around 70-100 of them in total.
I just want to know what happened to these things since seeing the same insignias next to every player is pretty boring.

I’d assume that’s a complaint and not a question?
Because if you missed the show DT has been released in an unfinished state and there are far more important things on the to-do-list than insignias related content (be it penances, or similar).
So my guess is that it’s super-WIP and somewhere in the backlog, and it will come at a later date…
Not crucial gameplay-wise fortunately 
This reminds me of weapon emotes in Vermintide 2, a modder found them and made a mod out of them:
