I haven’t played for like a good two week, mainly focused on Space Marine 2 while waiting for the class to come out.
I’ve been doing some missions now and… Is it me or the poxwalkers and other lower mobs feels insanely fast ?
Or is that two weeks withdrawal making me think they are absurdly fast, like i didnt felt like i could outrun them.

Probably not being used to having weapons maxxed on 60 mobility
Once you max these weapons it’ll probably feel normal

No, I’m actually pretty sure the enemies either swing faster or they ‘lock on’ and move faster when not being directly looked at. I’ve noticed it too.

I only play mostly with 60% mobility if there’s the stat to dump, so i’m pretty used to those stats.

Even while looking at them, i was able to pause for a few seconds to look at a chain of poxwalkers in the distance, and I was like “holy heck, what ?”
Even dodging didnt felt like enough to outrun them before getting instantly surrounded again.

I’m reasonably sure this was a stealth change introduced a little bit before the Hivescum. The game has ‘felt weird’ for a while now.
They introduced stealth changes last year that drastically sped up Groaner speed and Rager attack speed without remembering to tell anyone.

I mean, i’ve only stopped for like two weeks and it didnt felt that way to me two weeks ago, so it’s definitely not a thing that went for a year for me.
The only thing I have noticed is that poxbursters just doesn’t wanna get pushed anymore.

nah, enemies for me behave the same all around.
but what shifts the perception is the different game pace darktide and space marine 2 offer.
while “fast” its mechanic of heavy emphasized lock-ons give pause in sm2’s encounter where in darktide there is none.
when leveling my tactical and going through the horde mode for a few hours it helps getting a grasp/warmup for fast decisions in terms of what and when to engage.
yet mouse reflexes and aim is much more demanded in darktide on the other hand

this actually has been my biggest problem recently. Either Poxbursters refuse to be shoved further, or teammates cant deal with them at all.
