Snipers spawning directly in sightlines

Issue Description:

Snipers spawn directly in front of people. I’ve seen them spawn at any range, from 30m and instantly getting a shot on my teammates to spawning directly in front of my face and instantly shooting.

This happens every other Malice game or higher, especially with Endless hordes. Considering how dangerous snipers are and the fact that they spawn in already ready to shoot, this causes runs to be killed rather easily.

Steps to Reproduce:

This is random, no reliable way to reproduce.

Just play missions and you’ll eventually see a sniper spawn directly in your sightlines.

Could you please provide console logs for a session where this happened?

You may find these by doing the following:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here
