Just have had a game on Damnation, the kill the captain mission, where you fight the shielded dude in the arena at the end. It was dead in about a second or two (literally) after we’d reached him. Scoreboard shows that almost exclusive dealer of damage to him was the Skitarii player, with their Ability (Chordclaw strike), it dealt over 30k damage in that short timespan.
I don’t remember even shroudfield zealot killing that boss THAT fast before? I thought it has some inbuilt mechanics that prevent exactly that (after certain amount of damage is dealt the shield is re-engaged and extra damage goes into it)?
Overall, the boss situation in this game has been a joke long enough. Do FS plan to do anything about it, making sure it will feel like, you know, a boss fight, again?
I played an Auric match with a martyrdom thunder Hammer stealth zealot and we agreed not to hit the boss after the shield popped and zealot one shot him.
But yeah the claw can do a lot of damage but damnation and Auric I don’t do that or see that not sure what stacks they all had though.
I don’t get the design identity of giving you so many chudclaw swipes when the other ults use a few to many charges depending on how much juice you want. But yeah the captain boss has been garbanzo for a while. About the only things I don’t mind ripping him up instantly are shock mauls and chain weapons, since that is one of the only targets they actually deal with more-effectively than average weapons (void shield) simply from the mechanics of void shield.
Twins don’t have any kind of health gating. They show up, you pop the bubble and they just flop over dead instantly to the chudclaw Skitarii.
Captains, on the other hand, have health gates that trigger to reapply the shield when they lose 20% of their health after the shield goes down. My understanding is that there’s also a cap applied to specifically the random spawn havoc captains, not level end bosses, that prevents them from taking more than 50% of their health from any single attack, so you can pop the shield, smack em for infinity +1 damage with a thammer, and they’ll be at 50% remaining hp with the shield back up. Then you do it again and they die.
Well… Zealots can 1 shot most bosses.
Veterans with executioner stance and Boltgun / Or just a bunch of Krak nades
Ogrins with point-blank barrage.
Most classes have a Boss Buster build; some are also good for other things.
Also, drop the passive-aggressive comment? Be constructive whenever possible.
The biggest problem with Claws is that it’s a damn skill, means Skitarii can carry whatever weapons they like to slaughter other enemies, unlike Zealots, who are forced to use dat thunder hammer to deal with hordes.
Then you can stack up to 5 freaking Claws. Literally yesterday on Havoc 40, I dealt the highest boss damage compared to random thunder hammer zealot and scum, all I did was just spam Claws whenever I saw a boss.
Twins can’t take more than 20% of their HP in one instance of an attack
Captains in the other can can take up to 100% of their HP in one instance of an attack (so instakill after shield break)
However Captains will reacticate their shields after receiving X amount of damage (idk what this value is, could it be 20% of their HP? A fixed damage value like 10k?)
Zealots require a mediocre weapon to do so, commit a bunch of their build to the meme, and run weapons customized for that exact thing. Skitarii has no such commitment necessity.
Chordclaw also basically does Zealot’s job better and faster and more efficient, while also freeing the class up to spam arc rifle and what not.
but that’s ok, Zealot is ‘’‘’‘good’‘’’ at ‘’‘’‘clutching’‘’’ when all the actual good classes make enough mistakes to go down. oh wait medicae skull exists? lol
Chordclaw’s base damage should nerfed and the Triple Jab’s damage should be buffed. You should have to choose between AoE/utility and high single target damage.
Twins have a single hit damage cap of 14400, but claw does its damage in two hits so it doesn’t matter much. You can also one shot captains with stealth relic blade.
Just played 2 games of scum after nothing but skitarii and couple meme veteran games, compared to scum whole skitarii is a joke, be it boss killing or whatever else aside from dedicated arc rifle build.
Can’t believe there were people calling it weak when it was released.
