Seer's Stave premium cosmetic's top seems to be rotated 180 degree

Issue Type (Required):

Cosmetics

Issue Description (Required):

When you equip the Seer’s Stave premium cosmetic and then look at your character’s “doll”, you see that the eagle on the top looks… backwards (see the attached picture)? It really looks unnatural and unsightly, I doubt it was designed to look this way.

The other sign it wasn’t intended like that is the fact that on the cosmetic’s preview the eagle looks towards you (see the other attached picture). One could even call it “false-advertising” but I’m pretty sure it’s just some sort of bug, it probably gets mirrored somehow.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Get to your staff’s cosmetic selection menu
  2. Choose Seer’s Stave from the list
  3. Note how on the preview the eagle top looks towards you
  4. Apply the cosmetic
  5. Go to your character’s “doll” view, note that the eagle now faces backwards

[PC] Do You Use Mods? (Optional):

Yes, but I haven’t tried disabling them

Reproduction Rate (Required):

Constant (100%)

Platform (Required):

PC - Steam

This I think is the result of how the models are rigged. They’re all ‘held’ the same way so in combat the eagle points ‘forwards’ from the character like normal but because of the angle used here it’s held ‘backwards’ in the doll view.

So probably not a bug, just something not noticed till now bc all previous staves have been the same on the front and back.

This actually makes sense since if you pretend to hold the staff in that orientation and bring it down to the charge attack pose, the eagle will be facing the correct way.

Like this pose:

That said, i still would prefer it to be facing forward in the idle inventory pose.

I agree. It just looks silly facing backwards.

Duplicate of this report by the way:

It’s also backwards on the character in missions and the Psykanum by the way:

And although it seems okay from first person, IMO it would just look as good the other way around, since the staff is held sideways anyway.
