Hello! I’m having this kind of issue while trying launching the game on steam. I bought the game a few minutes ago to play with my friend and i’m getting this error… i tried to disable anti virus for some minutes, tried to launch as admin and for some reason the windows defender blocked some access from the files. Never saw this happend in any game i played before.

Hi Romulus, it does seem that this crash might be occurring as a result of a recent Windows 11 update where Smart App Control is wrongly blocking Darktide. You can add an exclusion for Darktide via:

Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Add or remove exclusions

It worked! I went to the kaspersky anti virus options to add the exceptions to kaspersky and then the game opened and i played a few hours with no issues. Thank you very much!
