Rpg style revamp for this game in october, is this real?

Remember there were such things like ama-sessions and dev streams somewhere on the internet.

Of course. All I’m saying there is that the hardcore types won’t really benefit much. I assumed Marxist there fit into that camp, given how much they post here, and from their general response being one of disappointment.

well , awesome , possibly

trying not to get my hopes up too much but if this is a good answer to the puzzling lack of work coming out the systems devs since launch and its that big then ill be one happy heretic purging fanatic , this is aimed at my biggest complaint

would just leave a weapon pass for me, give things a bit more identity smooth out some pain points maybe even a customisation option (in truth i would be happy to be able to put a decent sight on my guns)

so yeah , cautiously hyped for this!

why we need to learn this from 3rd party site, not from devblog?

that is so disappointing

really?

shouldnt they have emailed you? or hit you up in the DM’s as the kids are i beilieve saying these days.

is it possible your trying a little too hard to take offence?

not an expert but at a guess interviews and publishing dates and development calendars are hard to line up and some times you need to reach the wider audience than those still playing.

so maybe send out some interviews to some 3rd party sites to get the message to those that you need to hear it early , then when the feature is in site of release drop a full devblog when you can give concrete info and details about the release version?

Looks like good news.

But only if it releases with either a completely reworked crafting and progression system alongside it, or at the very least locks being removed in a hotfix tomorrow to tide people over until October.

They can add as much content as they like, it will all be completely meaningless until they move away from the malicious and predatory player addiction systems.

I would not mind to have to pay…
However, deusvult6 pointed to me, what is displayed here is the tree for the zealot class… so 3 possibilities when we have actually have only one.
From my understanding, they won’t add any class / archetype… more a sort of specialization allowing you to get 3 different ways to play, for each archetype, and even to mix them (and that’s really exciting)
However, sure, they could also unlock parts of the trees with a DLC. Or, the cosmetics sell well, and they just want to increase the number of potential customers.
I think that it is reasonnable to think that, at least, we will be able to access to the 4 archetypes… or we would loose access to characters

Anyways, if they want to monetize, they will find something… but I remember they said that the subclasses could be delivered for free (or be DLC).

Do you know what will come for zealots?? :innocent:

Totally agree… that’s why I think that the message delivered was not for players that play the game actually… but to get potential new players.
Diversity is what makes a good game… and that’s why balancing is so needed. When you underperform badly with a template, you tend to return to what works…

That would be my ideal arrangement. I’d pay fat stacks for some new archetypes with different aesthetic and thematic elements.

Something not in the reject theme with a more heroic aesthetic. Sisters comes to mind of course. But other things are cool too. Ratlings? Arbites? Mechanicus? Etc. Thats all year 2+ stuff for sure though.

Called it. Jury is out if i like it or not but it explains veteran comissar hat on sharpshooter.

I consider myself pretty hard core and i am the weirdo off meta player because its even more harder core to handicap yourself. You must discover the smallest edge of efficiency in the worst margins.

They only play Ogryn I’m pretty sure, had no new info on other classes. Presumably whatever classes were previously data mined for Zealot, can’t remember what those were exactly.

They better not to, lol, or it’s gonna be a disaster. Just some new archetype as DLC - mechanicus, enforcer, some another abhuman like ratling, planty of options.

Just from the skilltree pics and icons i would guess: left - priest (buffs/debuffs), middle - current one, right - some analogue of V2 Shade - agile, backstab, bleed, better anti-boss.

I do vaguely remember reading about an Ult very much like warrior priest making you or an ally invincible for a short duration. One of the branches being tank/support oriented seems very likely.

This looks great…
Thanks for the infos

Don’t get me wrong… even if I don’t mind paying, I think it would not serve what (only my opinion) is their goal (getting new fresh players that are not fans of Tide games).
I also think that it would really be difficult to sell DLCs for each specialization, especially when you claim, in the interview, that the game was unfinished when you released it and you have spent 10 months to release something that should have been there at start…

It’s real! I can’t give much more information on it just yet, but you’ll learn more before too long.

And here I thought this was some really high effort trollposting for a second…

Thanks for the confirmation :v:

Oh and also obligatory #BreakTheLocks

First, this looks cool, if it makes into the game that would be amazing.

Second, this shows how unfinished this game still is when skill trees were their idea but they only had the time to give us a few meaningless passives for 1 whole year.

I mean it’s just my specualtion

The first icon reminds me DoW comissar’s execution ability that provides buff for the squad. Looks like fire resistance or some coherency buff.

Also he got current Epmeror’s Executioner feat, so they mixed new classes a bit

Book - nuff said

And maybe some Morale Boost alike thing

Middle one - mostly current zealot, a lot of low-hp playstile icons + same nade and ultimate

Right one - backstab icons, bleed, some speed buff icons

I had understood

I’m just a bit afriad that even a complete revamp of the talents will only bring back players for a few days, only for them the leave again because of this and that reason that still has not been fixed this entire time…

Looking at you RNG lasagna dubbed β€œcrafting”

Hopefully it will be fully free respec. If it costs a bunch of dockets or diamantine or something to respec, then they will (once again) be working against the stated goal of player choice and freedom.

Death cult assassin builds coming. Just need a skin tight suit cosmetic and a budget slider so i can finally be the female deathculy assassin from literally every cool image and tabletop model of them.
