Not sure why this was implemented in the first place, it just penalizes people who use Sciers Gaze
Also, there has been a bug in the game for ages whereby Kinetic Flayer would trigger upon a player hitting critical peril (97%+), but it won’t actually perform a brain rupture, but still goes on cooldown.
Only thought behind it would be that it costs peril to use, but it never did before and I don’t really remember seeing it now, so yeah, no idea why this line is there. It’s literally just there to generate bugs (as mentioned), why bother with it? It proced whenever at a 10% chance before, and that often just resulted in it procing ever 15~ seconds more often than not, so why not just make it’s cooldown 15 seconds and remove the restriction?
Feels a bit obtuse for certain, with little reason to exist beyond making me question why I haven’t gotten a proc in a while, only to just now realize ohh, it’s because I play Psyker at high peril to maximize profits and end up just never seeing a proc that also actually hits the target, cool, yippy.
yeah this restriction is nonsensical because part of the bonus is its a peril free attack. not letting you use it at critical perils is just griefing, and stealing your procs on 12s cooldown regardless is trash programming
Scrier’s Gaze vents half of your peril so it can proc.
FYI Kinetic Flayer can proc from your dots.
I really don’t think this is needed, Psyker is already powerfl enough as it is.
