I have a transcendant wayfarer’s seal reliquary (as stated in game) that I cannot refine a tier 4 perk on. I have rerolled it for hours to try and get ANY tier 4 perk on it, but they do not roll. This doesn’t happen for any other items in my inventory, and is very frustrating that it is not rolling any tier 4 at all. I understand that rerolling comes with a percentage based outcome, but the number of times I rerolled and not gotten a single tier 4 does not seem comparable to the other equips I have rolled tier 4s on. Even if it wasn’t a tier 4 I was looking for, at least a tier 4 would show up, but not for this transcendant wayfarer’s seal.
I believe the roll stays at the level of the perk it is replacing with a rare chance of it changing levels. In my testing I have had it change levels from the previous perk maybe twice out of two hundred plus rolls.
My experience has been that the higher the overall rating of the item, the better the chances of a higher tier perk. I did some rerolling of weapons and curios when I was leveling my Psyker and I was seeing a lot of tier 2 perks (almost never saw those rolling higher rating items on my Zealot), and no tier 4 perks. Meanwhile when rerolling yellows with high base stats once max level I noticed seeing tier 4 perks noticeably more commonly.
Of course that’s just a theory based on a fairly small sample size but figure may as well chuck that observation here in case it ends up being relevant.
Yeah I didn’t really have this problem with any other equips. Even if it started as a tier 3 perk, I would come across tier 4s eventually within an hour at most. It’s just for this equip, it is constantly tier 3 and a lot more tier 2s than usual. I felt weird putting this post up cause it seems like I’m just complaining that I’m unlucky, but I literally spend a LOT of time into just rerolling for any tier 4 perk, and it just doesn’t happen. I would test it on a different equip just to make sure I’m not going crazy, and the tier 4 would come out for that other equip. It just seems off, idk
Same, I have also rerolled tier 4s to replace tier 3s, but it has never taken this long. I have definitely gone way past 200 rr without seeing ANY tier 4s, and I’m pretty tired of hearing that omnissiah blessing noise. Trying to find a tier 4 on a different equip always works, and then I try this curio again and nothing.
