I’m not going to say there’s no grey area here, but I think you’re painting the line as vastly, vastly more blurry than we both know it is in practice. At this point I trust Fatshark’s definition of a cheaty mod more than I trust the community’s self regulation frankly.

In response to the rest of your post, I’m going to quote what I said in the other recent mod post:

> [@A Wallhack mod has been released on Nexus, which should be removed](https://forums.fatsharkgames.com/t/a-wallhack-mod-has-been-released-on-nexus-which-should-be-removed/113670/39):

> Look man I absolutely agree with that statement. But with every abuse of Fatshark’s modding policy that is released, I stray further and further from this belief and more towards “we’re not allowed to have nice things, burn it all to the ground”.

> Just warning you, I think a lot of people are in a similar position, and if this decline continues I can see a future where removing mod support entirely is a popular viewpoint, especially when you consider the console players who don’t even have the option to join in on the cheating.

> So the way I see it, the community, big mod defenders included, need to very aggressively push out modders that try to create mods like this. It will increasingly be pure poison to the Darktide modding scene otherwise. I genuinely think it could even be the death knell for it.

Basically I would have once agreed what we have is better than Fatshark oversight, but that belief has been eroded away almost entirely by the community’s continued abysmal self regulation.

I’d love a modded realm too obviously, that would help considerably, but I need you to understand the extent to which the well has already been poisoned for me to prefer Fatshark oversight in any situation.
