what keeps me from fully indulging the mod option is it not having a, how to put this since I don’t need resources and such, progress that’s visible and noticeable in terms of kitting out your character-bots….
not really in a carrot on a stick meaning either, rather hard to put into words, but like a figure you paint and help take shape, something “memorable” after you took em through countless battles across tertium. 
same reason I don’t enjoy mortis trials when it’s just a psykers mindfkk and you “know” it aint happening for real.

You know, I’m usually the person to criticise Fatshark and make fun of their development practices, but…have we been playing the same game over the last few years? Solo is simply not on their priority list, the game launched in a pretty bad shape, and a LOT of their main plans were delayed. Their idea of how to approach class design has changed fundamentally, and there was a lot of bug fix work. Also the whole idea of Fatshark getting away with everything is just not true. Just look how the “community” drive literally made them to change the approach to itemisation and crafting, so it is possible.
Somehow they have managed to add 2 class this year, and I believe someone from the leadership team said they are finally happy (-ier?) with the state of the game. So maybe solo mode side-kick will get some attention.
