If they just silenced him for repeatedly asking the same question, that’s highly uncool. Particularly since they refuse to answer said question. If you want us to shutup and stop asking the question then f***ing answer it. One way or the other. Even if it’s an answer we don’t like at least it’s an answer, which is more than we have now.
I get it would be nice to have a solo mode. But honestly, some people seem to be a bit too obsessed with it.

Especially when he doesn’t own the game, bit weird to be that obsessed with flagging devs for the PR disaster gotcha they aren’t going to deliver. Like I get it, but its also one of those things in life you should accept and not let develop into an ulcer because we can’t change it.
I don’t disagree, but I do also appreciate people willing to be annoying (without being rude, ideally) over issues like these. Sometimes it’s necessary to get some motion or stop things being forgotten about.
Still hoping very much this is something they get around to in the not too distant future. Would love love love to be able to just launch this new patch and try some things out in solo to get a feel for them on my own terms. Yes you can more or less mod your way around the issue, but that’s really not the same, and mods to generally break with new patches so it’d go a pretty huge way for me.
Also a lot of people that seem to be obsessed with calling out a guy wanting to buy a game if a formerly promised feature is ever delivered, so he asks the company selling the game about it often. When they could just, you know, not comment and go about their lives since they claim not to care about it themselves.
Or maybe Scipio is forcing them to read his comments i guess…

In the “Feature Highlight” thread, I asked:

That post was incorrectly flagged as “Spam: Advertising” (seriously, what exactly am I advertising here?) and removed by a moderator. So I reposted it, because it shouldn’t have been removed.
This happened a few more times before @Telesto DM’d me and told me to stop spamming and only post it once. I explained that the post was being incorrectly flagged, that the question was directly related to a future feature highlight we’d like to see, and that I only reposted it because it kept getting removed.
He then threatened to Silence me if I didn’t stop.
He then came into this thread and removed multiple posts of mine that were actually on topic, you know… asking about solo mode in a thread specifically about solo mode? I called it out for being, what I considered, an abuse of moderator power and that post was removed too.
Then I was Silenced.
Afterward, Telesto deleted the DM thread, so I no longer have access to that conversation or the messages in it.
So yeah, I was Silenced for repeatedly asking about Solo Mode, but the reason I kept reposting wasn’t because I was trying to spam the forum. As I explained to Telesto, my posts were repeatedly being removed under an incorrect spam classification, despite being relevant to the discussion, even if only tangetially, while the posts being removed from this thread have no explanation and are clearly moderator abuse imo. So, instead of answering the question, they chose to shut me up. Very classy of them imo.
What’s crazier is that this thread would have been locked during the 2 week silence if y’all weren’t GOATs and kept posting. So that’s a giant middle finger to Fatshark: you can’t stop all of us!

Yeah can’t say they’re giving trust worthy vibes either. After hearing about all this with Scipo now they’re frankly already a net negative to the forums. Hope they clean up their act significantly or move along at this point.
They’re in a difficult situation as forum moderators that could be entirely remedied by the video game company just giving an honest answer. 
Not downplaying your post, I just find some high level of irony of a Solo mode advocated by mainly you, a solo guy, whose got the support and cooperation of multiple people. Keep up the good fight warrior!
i wonder though why it is so difficult to give a clear statement on this. either there is something in the works, or it has been canned, as the majoriy of the crew is likely to work on the next title. either way, it will probably run on the modded realm first.
Yeah actually as-quoted misses the entire point of the quote… guess that’s pretty standard these days but I still hate to see it!
The company refuses to give an honest answer because that would be, at minimum, bad press, and potentially (I don’t see a court going with it but technically) straight-up admitting to fraud (advertising a feature that then does not materialize).
The former is far more likely. We’ve repeatedly seen this pattern from Fatshark’s execs. They will lie (remember 100 Aquila packs? How those were supposed to show up in a week?), they will bullsh-t (remember how paying real money for raising the visor of the Arbites helmet is supposed to be required to pay for the game), they will evade and generally just refuse to treat their customers like people owed an honest answer, because the honest answer is ‘we want your money, f-ck you, give it to us for a minimum of actual work involved’.
Sure would be classy of them to give an answer. But we know they won’t, they refuse to even acknowledge the thread unless it’s “spam” /eyeroll
I think what’s most baffling is… we all know the (in)famous “it’s not a lie” quote. But that only applies when actually giving an update. It’s not fraud to advertise something as part of the scope of work, and then have the scope of work needing adjusting so the initial advertised features are no longer valid, and then provide the updated scope of work. It is fraud to advertise it, adjust the scope, and then hide that the advertised feature isn’t coming.
I’ve mentioned before that I work in government contracting so I’ve had to review SOWs and have been on many calls where the initially proposed scope needed revision. If we told the customer: “you will have a hot cocoa machine inside the lunar lander” and then had to remove the hot cocoa machine for whatever reason. We’d 100% provide a revise Scope and acknowledge that we over-promised and we wouldn’t be able to add the hot cocoa machine to the lunar lander. What we wouldn’t do is tell the customer that the hot cocoa machine was almost ready, but it’s not a priority while we make sure everything else works, and then just never tell them we can’t add it to the finished product.
It’s genuinely so easy to revise your scope, apologize for the overpromise, and work to provide the best product you can within the new scope. I just cannot understand why they won’t just tell us “there are no plans to add solo mode like we originally promised. If this changes in the future we’ll let you know.” Because “not a priority” implies that it’s still a planned feature, just low on the list
