I don’t dislike GG, but I definitely understand the feeling of “Why is that guy getting back up? I have to shoot him again?”
Been feeling that every day with Rippers and since game launch with the twink stubs

Funny how people said exactly the same thing about Rumbler not oneshotting Gunners back in a day, only for it to become the most busted Ogryn weapon after the tree rework xD
And I still don’t like it because it still doesn’t (reliable) oneshot gunners it was also kinda op with a lugger build even before the update.
Do not count me among them, I liked Rumbler plenty the second I realized arcing over cover to throw shooters into the open was extremely good.
I think it also needs to be said Rumbler has always been infinite cleave so packing the screen with enemies only benefited it. Hard to care about breakpoints when you’ve done “enough” damage to the main target while killing 30 trash mobs surrounding it.

I changed from unyielding+maniac to flak+maniac and it does feel much better now🙂 I did like to special punch bosses in the head with unyielding and that won’t be as good anymore but having it feel satisfying against scab gunners is more important.
using the GG against bosses (unyielding) is worse than just charging them for a good beating, so i prefer having maniac on the GG to put specials down reliably.

Depends on the melee weapon and whether or not it’s a weakened monster, pickaxes clubs and shovels out dps the gg for sure and if the monster is a full health one then you will have to reload which will lower your dps (I used to empty the mag and then switch to my melee) a weakened monster can (or at least could, have monsters had their hp buffed?) be killed with a single magazine of special punches.
