Since the recent update my fps has went down and tanks when ever any fire or such is on screen and not to mention the input lag and stutters and it seems [I’m not](https://forums.fatsharkgames.com/t/windowed-fullscreen-is-unplyable/100391) the [only one](https://forums.fatsharkgames.com/t/my-game-feels-slightly-better-but-still-lags/100363) Either reinstate it or make the prefomance on par if not better then before because right now it’s absmal, fsr on or not ---

Their excuse is that borderless fullscreen “works just as well” as fullscreen now which is obviously horseshit because major tech devs never test on the hundreds of different systems every user is going to have. Exclusive fullscreen is a backwards compatibility thing, keep it. ---

My fps has become so bad since the update, i used to stay between 65-85fps even when a lot of stuff was going on. Now my fps craters down to between 25-35 fps whenever something kicks off. I went through all my settings, got them all back in order, even edited the config file back to how it was before the patch and tweaked the graphical settings to push for even more performance and less quality, but to no avail. Did a full re-install as well on the slight off-chance that there was something there that could help solve my fps issues. ---

Sorry I’m not a good example, the opposite is true for me: My FPS has had stutters on this PC since I bought it - the PC I upgraded from to play this on actually ran it better. This update has improved it somewhat, but it’s still unplayable due to how stuttery it is. But it’s so bad for me that what you’re saying could be true, but it’s indecipherable from the rest of the lag. ---

That’s my thing. I’ve _never_, in my 20+ years of PC gaming, had noticeably better performance in Exclusive Fullscreen, despite the tons of examples of people saying it helped. (I’m also a chronic alt-tabber so even if I did get a 2-3% FPS increase, it outweigh the lag when tabbing out of EFS). But ffs, who removes a feature?? ~~This is like saying that Dual Sense controllers are the best controllers on the market so we removed support for Xbox Controllers~~ Edit: changing my analogy. This is like saying the because Steam Input let’s players use Playstation controllers and they’re releasing the game on PS5 eventually, they’re removing support for Xbox Controllers. (“don’t you guys have phones” energy) ---

It has been the opposite for me; this update has fixed so much for me, like burry weapons and cosmetics in the menus, weird anomalies with DLSS, an so much more, that have been present for me for over a year now, persisting even through a whole cpu/mobo/ram and OS upgrade. Sorry you’re having such a hard time and I hope they fix it for you soon. I did find the removal of an option bizarre. I understand their argument as to why they prefer players use borderless, but just… they removed an option from players, which may or may not still be appropriate to them. I know Win10 is soon to be EoL, but there are still lots of players using it, and exclusive fullscreen could very well still be relevant for em. Why remove that? ---
