### Issue Type (Required):

Performance

### Issue Description (Required):

I’ve noticed a Significant performance loss of about 15-20% on average since the Update

My specs are: 9800x3D - 4090 - 4K Resolution w DLSS Quality, Frame gen x 2 and Preset (L) forced via Nvidia App.

It happens mostly during big game fights, so I assume the it might be _ **Particle Effects** _ or the Nvidia Preset (L)

My friend uses default game DLSS settings (default present and DLSS Version of 3.5) and they’ve also noticed performance degradation.

Restarting the game help for a bit but then performance drops again by 15-20% on average.

_ **Edit:** _ - I’m certain it’s some type of **memory leak** , since performance degrades over times and requires a restart to gain fps back again.

Additional Nots: I’v noticed that _ **Pox Gas and Rotten Armor on death Gas Explosion** _ seems to affect performance in a bad way.

### [PC] Do You Use Mods? (Optional):

Yes, and I’ve tried disabling them

### Reproduction Rate (Required):

Constant (100%)

### Platform (Required):

PC - Steam

My experience with particle effects as well. Shoot a charged up voidstrike blast on the ground before you (hitting some enemies), and see your FPS going down with 30 for a little bit. Didn’t happen before the patch

This, exactly one of these.
I don’t even understand WHY it halves your frame rate.
It’s a simple effect, should cost barely anything.
