So I did a private match with 3 friends (yes, i set it to private in the finder), played on heresy, and i used brainburst for at least 75% of the monstrosities health. Didn’t unlock. Tried it again with the second monstrosity in the match - also didn’t unlock.
Tried it in another match, checked everything again, and dealt i think 100% of damage to it with brainburst. No luck.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Play Psycher with brainburst.
  2. Set to private match
  3. Play on heresy or higher.
  4. Deal more than 50% damage with brainburst to monstrosity.
  5. Give the monstrosity the last hit aswell
  6. Penance didnt unlock

What was your build at the time? Are you using the new Vulnerable Minds talent node?

Wouldn’t surprise me if it has something to do with this, based off newer talents breaking old penances in the past.

Vulnerable minds is not active. I’m using the Gandalf Melee Wizard build

The one on GamesLantern? Unless it’s possibly something to do with the SG/DD Finesse modifiers bugging out the BB damage for the penance then…

I just hope for your sake it hasn’t gone the same way as Ogryn’s Big Box of Hurt penance(s) a little while ago… you might have to try doing it with base brainburst instead :grimacing:

Maybe it was a “nice” bug though, and you just need to try a couple of times til it works :person_shrugging:

I know a few people were seeing the penance pop from Weakened Monstrosities in Maelstroms too, so that could be a nice option.
