Just got to the very last zone on the last map (5 zones, hounds, tornado) and we were all heading for the evac when I got sicked into a tornado and the game crashed. There was no option to rejoin so it must have crashed for the whole team.
Please QA test your game. There are so many bugs in expeditions that I refuse to believe it’s been thoroughly playtested by QA testers.
1. There’s still a crystal in one of the locations that blocks the final jump, especially for Ogryns. The other spot where we have to jump on the ladder is still problematic for very small characters (or Ogryns).
2. Tornadoes continue to appear invisible and cause a massive drop in FPS.
3. “Fixed an issue where some items in Expeditions missions were unreachable.” We still have those inside and outside Sanctuary.
Btw: A few patches ago there was mention of fixing a bug where, when someone disconnected, the game would crash for another player. The bug persists in all modes.
Sir @FatsharkQuickpaw, crashing the game everytime it’s started with AMD FSR 3.1 frame generation is some way fixing the stuttering.
Stuttering gone? Not experienced by players? Who cares the game is unplayable anymore. Grat job!
And before someone suggest downgrading the drivers back to 25.12.1:
Maybe they meant only the issue that FSR FG didn’t work even if activated in the options. Like @Jado , I also didn’t have any crashes (also on Linux), but FSR FG obviously didn’t work since I lost about 20-30 FPS after the Expeditions update. The hotfix fixed that for me.
[IRONY WITH A GRAIN OF SERIOUSNESS]
Maybe it’s time to try Linux? Most variants can be relative easily installed next to an existing Windows. There’s even a new Linux subforum here as I just out when I searched for this thread about running Darktide on Linux for others’ experiences with it.

For me, it was time in December, 2006. But I kept a Windows installation for gaming next to it until the beginning of 2025 when I stopped using it, and ceremonially deleted it this year when I installed Bazzite next to my trusty old Ubuntu MATE.
But let’s not hijack this thread, especially now that we have a shiny new Linux section.
I used Ubuntu with a dual boot to Windows in the early 2000s and again between 2008 and 2010, when I studied to be a graphical designer (which I never worked as), but the constant booting back and forth between OS was annoying, so I moved back to Windows.
STEAM also deserves all praise for their efforts to make the STEAM library work on Linux.
Praise our Lord, Gaben!
If the steam machine wasn’t so expensive and took so long to come out, I’d buy one, but I’m sticking with my favorite brand: MSI.
Build on three decades of hard work by the legions of WINE developers, but Valve definetly helped to promote it to “normal” gamers and gave the overall development of Linux gaming a significant push.
it seems that the numbers are correct… Linux is growing and by a lot…
Last month it has shown more than 5% users under linux. Several said it was an error, however, I believe that it was february that has taking too much chinese in the stats.
But let’s see… What is sure is that anybody that wants to give up Windows can do it in 2026. Linux works so great and if really you get into trouble, you can ask any AI you use… and you will understand quickly what you do.
Once you realize that Linux means freedom to use your computer like you want, the limit remains your skill, well there is NO turning back.
I actually have only 1 game that doesn’t work (StarRupture) but it is linked to the nvidia driver version 595 (the 580 works, but not the 595).
Really, now, I will replace the xbox console for a “bazzite console”. Every time I see windows logo… I am upset… every microsoft experience has been disappointing for so many months that I do not want to keep anything related to this company.
