Ogryn Power Maul - Activation Bar?

I was using Ogryn’s Power Maul recently, post-Rework, and I love it! However, having to mouth “1… 2… 3… 4… 5… 6… 7… 8… 9… 10… 11… 12…” between each Activated Attack can be quite stressful in specific situations.

Therefore, I propose giving it an “Activation” Bar à la Blaze Force Greatsword, Power Falchion and Relic Blade? This would simply be a visual indicator of its unique Cooldown, of course.

It has a specific sound when it powers back on (like an electrical current), but I agree with you.

I know, I just think it’d be better off also having a visual indicator for the Cooldown itself, on top of the existing one for the Activation’s readiness.

I’ve been in situations with Power Maul where knowing how much longer I needed to wait for the next Activated Attack would’ve been nice.

the blue lightning IS the visual indicator - it’s only there when you have charge
it also makes the loudest noise when you swap to it and the charge is up

It’s pretty hard to notice, nobody’s got time to look at the weapon constantly when they’re surrounded by Crushers, rager packs and busy spamming attacks at the horde.

Did you notice smoke coming out from paul before you can use its special?

Yeah its mean its still on CD.

Not only that, but it’s also not at all what I’m asking for. That’s a READINESS visual indicator for the Activation, not a COOLDOWN visual indicator for the Activation. I’m asking for something to keep track of its Cooldown, rather than whether it’s ready or not.

Okay, but for how long? That’s all it really tells you, whether it’s ready or not.

Things occasionally get chaotic in this game, and you’ll lose track of such things. I’d like to be able to play around the Power Maul’s Activation in a way where I can TELL that it’s going to be back up in, say, 6 Seconds from now or, say, 3 Seconds from now.

Imagine if your Ability’s visual indicator ONLY told you if you Ability was ready or not, instead of having that little highlight that visualises its Cooldown. That would be kinda weird, right? It’s a basic feature for anything with a Cooldown.

WHAT… when do things get ninja reworked!? Playing with new weapon combos is like a major point to enjoying combat in game -.-

It feels a lot better in meatgrinder just baseline numbers from nothing to a beast… and this explosion can trigger the fire explosion talent so my range build is going to start testing…

Visual smoke during and power on sound after CD

Woah a push into heavy gives the headshot but push shove into heavy gives the swing… has this always been a combo thing…MORE TESTING… could use an alt swing set mark tho

huh Ogryn Mace and Hive Scum Cleaver seem to have similar combos to push then Heavy, to lesser degree shivs MKIII

For me its enough to tell when paul is ready or in CD without hud indicator.

I know game can be chaotic but it didnt change fact I see when paul is readdy or not.

Gues its me thing I can tell it without hud indicator.

Ulties dont have readdy or CD animation so its obvoius here indicator is mandatory.

OP has very clearly indicated that what they want is some indication of how long is left before they can activate it again. NOT a binary it’s ready/it’s not ready since that is completely different information being conveyed in each case.

Do you get some kind of sick pleasure from going around the forum pretending not to understand simple ideas?

Edit: If this is a language issue I apologise, in that case I’m being too harsh, this is just an incredibly frustrating conversation to witness.

Also to clarify this situation; I dont deny what OP asking just give my point of view on discused matter.

Wouldn’t mind something similar to how the Cartel Special Stimm shows cooldown but more visually clear (they should update it on HS as well).

Nothing wrong with having yet another little buff icon in the buff row. So you would have the binary indicator on your weapon and for more detailed information you could search your buff row.

What would be considerably annoying would be some UI element popping up in the middle of the screen.

I’m all in for a power bar for the Ogryn Power Maul. As well as keeping the near visual effect. Maybe it can be a accessibility feature you can turn on and off.
