I don’t follow. Most folks don’t get past the first room on Auric Maelstrom without getting rightly battered and sources of corruption are fairly common. ---

What drives me nuts when i ping them to pick one up (when im already holding one) and they just ignore it and blindly charge further into the level. Super pro players too good to pick up ammo/medi-packs or stims… ---

_ **MEDIC!!!** _😂 Ah, that room can be pretty brutal though. People like to hold by the medicae but in my experience it’s a gunner deathtrap. Still, not much excuse for not holding off the juice given the guaranteed 4x medicae shot! ---

Used to happen all the time. Noob opens chest, sees deployable, picks it up, and uses it immediately. Since V1 healing has been the most important resource… and they just waste it. ---

I’ve seen examples where it is put down right infront of the full med station. Like on the demon purge map where the med station has a chest next to it, and if a medkit is in the chest it’s deployed instantly… with a team at full health. ---

With all the information you’ve given us about it being in the start of the mission, low difficulty and right after opening a chest it sounds like they are doing it for the penance where you have to drop X amount of medpacks/ammo crates. ---

Even if, they could carry it until they find one more. Long as you use it eventually it’ll count. Not like they need the slot. ---

All medpacks and ammo crates deployed by all squad members get counted towards the penance. As for OP, the only medpack that is truly wasted is the one you brought back to Mourningstar. ---

It does not expicitly say so in the penance but it worked like that since day 1. And it makes sense. This is also why most players deploy medpacks/crates just before extraction, so that others can get the penance. This game is full of obscurity like that. I guess someone at Fatshark thought it’s fun or smart. It’s not, it’s just annoying. ---
